Description

This is a lacquered pair of chopsticks, beautiful and practical.

The bubbly motif is produced through a special technique called Tsugaru Nanako-nuri, where rapeseed is sprinkled over the chopsticks during the lacquering process. When the seeds are later scraped off, the circular impressions are left, producing its signature motif.

The pattern is sometimes said to resemble fish roe.

For an added hint of luxury, this pair comes topped with the polished, iridescent shell of abalone.
